To help curb the festive season road fatalities, we designed a creative and thought-provoking COSBI (Control Of Speed By Illusion) campaign for Bakwena’s N1N4 freeways. Lifesize metal cut-outs of Metro Police vehicles and motorbikes were produced and placed along Bakwena’s route as decoys with actual Metro Police vehicles and bikes parked at intervals along the freeway. Our campaign created 5.2 million organic social media impressions in three days, and zero fatalities were recorded over the period. Innovative Staffing Solutions (ISS) requested an aggressive marketing-communications strategy that would get people talking and businesses acting. We delivered hard. We created and executed the WTF Truck campaign.
Asa result of the shock-value campaign, which included Mother Trucker billboards, Cluster Truck social media campaigns, and Tired of Truck Ups B2B promotions, ISS grew their business by 30% and trained 700+ Code 14 drivers – all during Covid-19 lockdown level 5. To stand out from the media clutter during 16 Days of Activism, Mimi Women required PR Worx to raise awareness that it is SA’s only black female-owned sanitary towel company; but more importantly, to highlight the lack of affordable sanitary pads for over 2 million SA girls. To address discrimination, bullying, and blessers’ sexual exploitation of young, underprivileged South African schoolgirls between the ages of 11 – 18, we created a Shock Box campaign. This campaign is not for the fainthearted but was massively effective. We signed up 250 brand ambassadors for free, arranged 375 school visits, signed up corporate sponsors, generated 91 pieces of free media, and had 19 million+ social media impressions.
